Formada em artes plásticas em 1981 pela Universidade Mackenzie, SP, iniciou suas atividades em 1976 aos 17 anos de idade no atelier de Dudi Maia Rosa em São Paulo. Ao longo de 30 anos de carreira cursou escolas de arte no Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo, tendo feito viagens de estudos a Europa e Estados Unidos onde fez workshops na Columbia University, NY.
Seus trabalho, com ênfase em técnica mista inclui aquarelas, óleo e acrílica sobre tela, encáustica e têmpera com óxidos de ferro, em alguns casos utilizando materiais como pó de mármore e folhas de ouro. Durante 7 anos morou na Chapada dos Guimarães em Mato Grosso e desenvolveu também trabalhos em papel artesanal de sua fabricação, tendo feito estudos de fibras vegetais e pigmentos naturais da região. Desde 1983 obteve premiações e fez diversas exposições individuais e coletivas em importantes museus e centros culturais no Rio, Cuiabá, São Paulo e Nova York.
Atualmente reside no Rio de Janeiro onde trabalha e leciona em seu atelier no Leblon.
Graduated in Plastic Arts in 1981 at Mackenzie University, SP, she started painting in 1976, when she was only 17 years old at the Dudi Maia Rosa studio in São Paulo. Over a 30 year career, she attended highly regarded art schools in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, besides several studies during travels to Europe and United States where she participated in workshops at Columbia University in New York.
In her work she chooses a diversity of techniques and materials, such as watercolor paintings, canvas with textures and a number of materials, such as marble dust. In the work she developed during the seven years she lived in Chapada dos Guimarães, in the State of Mato Grosso, in the western region of Brazil, she used several kinds of self handcrafted paper made of castor bean fiber and sugar cane as well as natural pigments she made using iron oxide from the region.
Since 1988 she has exhibited both individually and collectively at eminent museums and cultural centers in Rio, Cuiabá, São Paulo, and New York where she achieved awards and recognition.
Presentely she lives in Rio de Janeiro where she produces and teaches art at her own studio in Leblon.
